Creative Drop-In: Beading & Resistance Art

An open, youth- and family-friendly space with crafting, reflection stations, and cultural artwork. The Wabanaki Two Spirit Alliance’s Elder in Residence Veronica will support with a display featuring feathers, hides, dreamcatchers, and teachings connected to the medicine wheel. This event will be hosted in collaboration with the Wabanaki Two Spirit Alliance and will take place within an on-site Teepee on the Garrison Grounds.

"Tarps Off in the Gym" - An All Bodies Gender Euphoric Fitness Class

"Tarp's Off at The Gym" is meant to be a gender euphoric experience at the gym for anyone, women, trans, two-spirit, non-binary/gender-queer and all who have ever wanted to experience shirtless lifting in a body positive, safe space! The class will include low-impact activities, and will teach participants the basics of squatting, deadlifting and strict pressing; taught by non-binary personal trainer Catherine Hoekstra. All proceeds will be going to Coastal Gender Affirming Care (@coastalgac) who do amazing work for trans, non-binary and Two Spirit folks in Mi'kma'ki. Hosted by Catherine Hoekstra Fitness and North Endurance THURSDAY JULY 24th 7:30pm- 8:30pm at 5687 West St. Enter the door on the side of the building that faces the Station 3 Fire Dept. CLASS CAP 20 PEOPLE (For Safety and Equipment Sharing Purposes!)
