Halifax Pride Calendar

Join Halifax Pride and the Wabanaki Two Spirit Alliance for this wellness-based workshop, focused on somatic healing, body sovereignty, and affirmations, including movement, smudging, and journaling. This open-to-all event will take place in an on-site Teepee on the Garrison Grounds. 

An afternoon of decadence. Join Chef Molotov in the Point Pleasant Park by the Summer House and feast upon a wild array of fanciful foraged food. Expect sweet things, tea sandwiches, jam filled pastries, whimsical and delectable bites to fill your stomach. Lay in the grass, sip your ice tea and listen to melodic music flowing in the wind. Be treated like the royalty all of us QTBIPOC babes were born to be.

Bring your kids, siblings, and family - whether chosen or by blood - to this all ages family swim! The YMCA Family Swim is an event meant to provide active living and fun for Queer families!

Kick it with Pride for the Halifax Wanderers Pride and Diversity Match! Before you watch the Wanderers face off against Forge FC from 7:00pm - 9:00pm, come have a blast with lawn games and local drag artists at the pre-match tailgate 5:30pm - 7:00pm! 

All bodies are encouraged to make a splash at the YMCA! Make some waves with your 2-Spirit, Trans, and Non-binary friends in the YMCA’s pool facilities. This swim is open to all bodies, but is focused on providing a safe space for our 2STGNC community members.

For those who prefer to stay indoors, here's a weekend of local queer cinema featuring the Nova Scotia films Lakeview (lesbian dramedy, dir. Tara Thorne) and To The Moon (gay comedy, dir. Kevin Hartford). Q&As with the cast and crew will take place at the early shows: Friday for Moon and Saturday for Lakeview.

A special night for our Cis-Female, Non-Binary, and Trans folk. Night Spa only hosts these events 4 times a year and they create such a unique space for people to learn, explore and expand their boundaries in an all-accepting environment. There is truly something freeing about surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals. These events are a mix of socializing, relaxing and play. The people who attend create such an amazing chance for you to truly be yourself, to grow and to make new connections. If you have not been to a Femmes & Themmes event before you are not going to want to miss this opportunity as our Pride edition is one of the busiest of the year. This party runs for 3 hours and is immediately followed by our Pink Pony Pride Party! Night Spa is Halifax’s only queer bathhouse. It is private, members only so only Night Spa members and their guests may attend. While everyone is welcome to apply to become a member, we are queer focused. We are queer owned and operated, as our staff are all queer/trans with a couple of allies too. There is no fee to apply or become a Night Spa member. You do pay an entry fee by either renting a locker or upgrading to a private room when you attend. We do not accept same da applications or walk-ins at the door so apply now to attend a future event. Night Spa is a queer space and Halifax’s only mixed gender, clothing optional venue. For over 20 years this location has been a bathhouse that has primarily been focused on cis-male interactions. Night Spa moved in 3 years ago and opened the space up to members of all gender. This very special Pride event will celebrate the changes at this venue and welcomes all who are 19+ to apply to become Night Spa members. This event is very social with folks hanging out in our lounge area, soaking in the hot tub and making friends while sweating it out in the sauna. Attending a clothing optional venue like this can seem very daunting at first but there is something so comforting with surrounding yourself with like-minded people. Being comfortable is key so go at your own pace and bring some options for outfits as you can store things in your rented locker or private room. Our Pride events are great at subverting sexpectations. All first timers recieve a tour when they first arrive that not only goes over where everything is and how the equipment works but also goes over our rules and etiquette. Many people attend Night Spa for different reasons and it’s important to communicate and inquire what others are looking for. Consent is key with all of our interactions in the space and you will be comforted with how adult everyone behaves in an adult space like this with adult activities happening. More information about this event and the venue are available once you become a member. We currently have over 5000 Night Spa members and for legal purposes everyone must be a member or the guest of a member in order to attend. We do not accept walk-ins or accept same day applications so apply today in order to attend events in the future. This is the only Saturday night that Night Spa is open during the 2025 Halifax Pride Festival and Pride is always one of our busiest times of year. Events often sell out so be sure to apply for membership early so you can book and reserve your space. Our staff and volunteers are always around to answer any questions you may have prior to your visit or during one of our parties. Come join Night Spa during Pride this year. Rumours HFX is pleased to announce Balls Deep Disco is coming for Halifax Pride in collaboration with Vix!  BDD is a quarterly disco dance party in Toronto, Montreal and Brooklyn.
Djs Burn Baby and Fawn Big Canoe will keep you spinning on the dance floor. Get it on to classic disco, nu disco and some disco house. We’re going to turn Rumours into a 70s cruise-y discotheque!
