Created by Elle Noir and returning for its biggest year yet, melaNATION is a fierce celebration of QTBIPOC talent. Hosted by Elle herself in honour of her 20th drag anniversary!

This year’s showcase features show-stopping drag, live music, and sizzling burlesque, with headliner Jaylene Tyme lighting up the stage.

Don’t miss the chance to meet Jaylene Tyme for an exclusive Meet and Greet!

Between 8:00pm and 12:00am, explore the QTBIPOC Market- a space highlighting vendors, artists, and makers from across our QTBIPOC communities.

Meet and Greet runs 8:00pm-9:00pm, and required advance ticket purchase. Latecomers will be turned away.

Doors at 8:30pm for General Admission

Get ready to feel the fantasy- The Bump is back and bigger than ever. This high-energy drag show is one of Halifax Pride’s most iconic nights, bringing together dazzling local talent and international stars for a night of pure queer spectacle.

This year’s headliner? The one and only Detox! RuPaul’s Drag Race royalty and a true drag icon. Kick off parade weekend with fierce performances, big attitude, and a whole lot of rhinestones. You know her from slaying across your screen on both RuPaul’s Drag Race season 5 and RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars season 2, come meet the one and only Detox at Halifax Pride this year.

Meet and Greet runs 8:00pm-9:00pm, and required advance ticket purchase. Latecomers will be turned away.

Halifax Pride Parade

Atlantic Canada’s largest Pride Parade is back! Join us to cheer, dance, and spread joy through the streets of Halifax to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community! If you want to watch or cheer on the Parade, there are different viewing areas for various accessibility needs. A masked viewing area will be on the Garrison Grounds of the Festival Site, a low sensory viewing area is provided within the John W. Lindsay YMCA on Sackville street. The accessible and described viewing areas can be found on Spring Garden Road.

Starting at the east end (roundabout) of Cogswell St, the parade will head east down Cogswell St, turning south onto Barrington St, west onto Spring Garden Rd, north onto South Park St, and end on Bell Rd/Ahern Ave, at the Garrison Grounds.

Drag on the Mainstage

Join us for Drag on the Mainstage, an all-ages drag showcase sponsored by Needs Convenience. This showcase will give festival goers the chance to witness local drag excellence! Tune in for this fierce afternoon of talent and glamour from our All Ages Area, or with a drink in our 19+ Beverage Area.


While limited shaded areas are available on site, folks are encouraged to bring an umbrella for shade! Water taps are also available.

Tea dances were events organized on Sunday afternoons in the queer community, originating in New York in the 50s and 60s. Now popular in places like Fire Island, & Provincetown, these events bring community together to celebrate & dance the day away. Join your hosts Bunni Lapin and Kirsti Davidson for this fun filled, dragged-up version of Bingo. Expect an evening of laughs, performances, and you guessed it — bingo. This event will have both general admission and accessible seating tickets available at https://www.halifaxpride.com/drag-bingo-tickets

Advance ticket purchase is suggested, but not required. Any tickets available at the door will be communicated the day of the event. 

Entry includes one bingo booklet, and bingo daubers available for purchase on site.

Rebels in Rhinestones: A Drag, Burlesque & Queer History Mini Lecture Series

Rebels in Rhinestones is a mini lecture series exploring the rich, rebellious history of drag, burlesque, and queer performance. Four local performers will each present a 20-minute talk on topics such as the origins of burlesque, the legacy of drag kings, and the contributions of BIPOC performers. Through storytelling and history, this series highlights how these art forms have long been sites of resistance, celebration, and self-expression. Whether you're a performer or an audience member, Rebels in Rhinestones offers a deeper understanding of the political, social, and cultural forces that have shaped queer performance. Join us as we connect the past to the present, fostering empathy, knowledge, and appreciation for the performers who paved the way. ASL Interpreters will be present. Livestream option present as well. This event is PWYC/ Sliding Scale.

To celebrate, we will be donating half the admission fee from Drag Race Trivia to the Halifax Sexual Heath Centre (HSHC)! All the money we donate will be put toward the HSHC's social work program, which provides readiness letters for gender-affirming care for free to patients!

Bodyworks: A Trans Drag and Burlesque Showcase

Bodyworks is a drag and burlesque show featuring a diverse cast of trans and gender diverse performers. Back by popular demand, this show aims to challenge the assumption that trans bodies are solely a source of trauma, that all trans bodies are "wrong" or "bad". Performers play with the theme of the body to explore their own experiences. Bodyworks is educational, campy, and a space for queer and trans joy.
