"Dyke Night Live" is a fully live music showcase featuring local queer & trans/nonbinary artists and musicians covering popular sapphic songs by sapphic artists.

This 15+ event is free for everyone. There will be a costume contest (we're working towards gathering some prom outfits for those who are looking for a selection!). There will also be a lip sync battle, best runway walk, sensory space (low-sensory space with games), and goodie bags with queer-focused health material.

Rebels in Rhinestones is a mini lecture series exploring the rich, rebellious history of drag, burlesque, and queer performance. Four local performers will each present a 20-minute talk on topics such as the origins of burlesque, the legacy of drag kings, and the contributions of BIPOC performers. Through storytelling and history, this series highlights how these art forms have long been sites of resistance, celebration, and self-expression. Whether you're a performer or an audience member, Rebels in Rhinestones offers a deeper understanding of the political, social, and cultural forces that have shaped queer performance. Join us as we connect the past to the present, fostering empathy, knowledge, and appreciation for the performers who paved the way. ASL Interpreters will be present. Join us for a conversation with peers on how eating disorders experiences intersect with our lived experiences as members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. We will have an open discussion about identity, stigma, challenges, triumphs, and recovery maintenance. Whether you're navigating your own recovery journey or seeking to understand more about diverse perspectives, this in-person event provides a safe and supportive space to learn, share, and connect. This event is part of our Recovery Conversation series and invites individuals aged 17+ to share in a discussion about paths to eating disorders recovery. Light snacks will be provided. Bring over your old books written by problematic authors (or ones you just don't want anymore) to Diverse Roots Therapy in Dartmouth and learn how to grow oyster mushrooms using them! Hosted by Freddie Mae Allen (he/they) and Lucius Harmony (they/them).

OPEN BOOK: A 2SLGBTQIA+ Human Library is a powerful storytelling event that brings together 2SLGBTQIA+ newcomer and refugee community members from around the world to share their lived experiences in a safe, affirming, and inclusive environment. Hosted by the Rainbow Refugee Association of Nova Scotia (RRANS) in partnership with Queer Arabs Halifax, the YMCA Centre for Immigrant Programs, and Halifax Public Libraries, the event transforms people into “human books” who engage in one-on-one or small group conversations with attendees. These “books” include refugees, newcomers, and long-time residents, each offering personal narratives that explore themes of identity, migration, resilience, and belonging. Held annually for the last couple of years at the Halifax Central Library, OPEN BOOK creates opportunities for empathy, connection, and learning between participants and the broader public. The event challenges stigma and stereotypes while fostering meaningful dialogue and community understanding. The Human Library continues to be an accessible, impactful, and community-driven initiative that uplifts the voices of 2SLGBTQIA+ newcomers and refugees and builds bridges across cultures and lived experiences.

"Tarp's Off at The Gym" is meant to be a gender euphoric experience at the gym for anyone, women, trans, two-spirit, non-binary/gender-queer and all who have ever wanted to experience shirtless lifting in a body positive, safe space! The class will include low-impact activities, and will teach participants the basics of squatting, deadlifting and strict pressing; taught by non-binary personal trainer Catherine Hoekstra. All proceeds will be going to Coastal Gender Affirming Care (@coastalgac) who do amazing work for trans, non-binary and Two Spirit folks in Mi'kma'ki. All bodies are encouraged to make a splash at the YMCA! Make some waves with your 2-Spirit, Trans, and Non-binary friends in the YMCA’s pool facilities. This swim is open to all bodies, but is focused on providing a safe space for our 2STGNC community members.

Bodyworks is a drag and burlesque show featuring a diverse cast of trans and gender diverse performers. Back by popular demand, this show aims to challenge the assumption that trans bodies are solely a source of trauma, that all trans bodies are "wrong" or "bad". Performers play with the theme of the body to explore their own experiences. Bodyworks is educational, campy, and a space for queer and trans joy.
